Bodhidharma with Alms Bowl in Padauk Wood

A lean seated form, defined beard, and alms bowl give this Bodhidharma statue a distinctly contemplative character. Carved details emphasize the focused expression and texture of the robes.

Hand-carved from one piece of padauk wood, it reflects the restrained visual language of Zen practice. Two sizes are available for a home altar, study, or Buddhist art collection.
